Coalition members of a Senate enquiry into a bill that will extend the do-not-call legislation to business numbers say It will have a huge financial impact on businesses and that the government has failed to adequately research its likely consequences. The Do Not Call Register Legislation Amendment Bill 2009 was tabled in the House of Reps on 26 November. If passed it will enable businesses to list their phone and fax numbers on the register and individuals to list their fax numbers in addition to phone numbers.
