The new edition of 'Key Figures on European Business', published by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, summarises the main features of European business: size, structure of sectors, importance of foreign-controlled enterprises, etc. This edition includes a special feature section on the factors of business success, which presents an analysis of the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs in 15 member states. Key figures: in 2005, there were almost 20 million businesses in the EU non-financial business economy with a total added value of €5,400 billion and 127 million employees.
