Parliament presses for Atlantic region strategy

The European Parliament presses the EU to adopt a strategy for the Atlantic region in a resolution adopted in plenary, on 9 March (589 to 26, with 54 abstentions). The European Commission will agree to this demand willingly since the Council of Ministers also invited it, in June 2010, to present such a strategy by June 2011. The Commission is in fact already drafting its communication.
