As the EU and US hurtle toward a nasty trade dispute over Europe's bid to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in aviation, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) has published a policy brief that seeks to debunk what it sees as myths that have clouded the debate. It is a crucial test case of what nations can legally do to address climate change and one that will be a big setback for EU leadership on the issue if Europe loses.
