The High Court has recently granted a permanent injunction preventing Chobani from passing off its American-made yoghurt in England and Wales under the description Greek yoghurt. This case provides further clarification on the law of extended passing off in the United Kingdom, previously used to protect vodka, Swiss chocolate and champagne.
