Environmental health writ large

摘要

At ES&T,we are expanding our coverage of environmental health-defined broadly as ecotoxicol-ogy and human environmental health-and have added the topic as a new section for research articles.We continue our traditional emphases in environmental chemistry,engineering,and related areas,while increasing the mix of papers about the environmental impacts on ecological and human health.Coverage will increase in the news and features section of the journal as well.We have always published articles related to chemical exposure and risk assessments,food-chain contamination,and emerging chemical impacts on ecosystems and humans,and this new section will help to focus that effort.The December 1,2004,special issue on ecotoxicol-ogy was highly successful,and today we are receiving increasing numbers of papers related to environmental health,defined broadly.
