New Hall effect device leaves you feeling flat

German sensors specialist Novotechnik has responded to increasing demand for simple, flat, and affordable rotary sensors with the development of its RFD component series of non-contacting Hall effect devices. They are available in the UK through Variohm EuroSensor. The sensors are mechanically and electrically compatible with their predecessors, the RFA series, but are cheaper without sacrificing features. They are suitable for measurement angles of up to 360°. They offer a 12-bit resolution and independent linearity of +/-0.5%, and are available in single, partially, or completely redundant designs.
