Satellite firm buys shock testing kit

Satellite builder Astrium is buying an LDS vibration shaker system from Briiel & Kjaer for the mechanical vibration and shock testing of satellites at its SBIK project in Kazakhstan. The system is for the new satellite assembly, integration and test complex. Briiel & Kjaer will provide a head expander and LDS V994 shaker, which will be equipped with a large auxiliary slip table, and a special, extra bearing positioning.
