Commission urges business to lead the move to low carbon

There is no solution for building a global low carbon economy without the engagement of business. This was the conclusion of the High Level Group (HLG) on Competitiveness, Energy and Environment, which after two years ended its work last week with the conference "Towards a global low carbon economy" (see conference report of EE & PL: 30 November 2007).
