Commission 'could do better' on infringements, industry says

The European Commission should toughen up its plans to tackle EU infringements, according tornpackaging industry body EUROPEN (the European Organisation for Packaging and the Environment).rnThe organisation has already said (see EE & PL: 14 September 2007, p3-4) following September's Article 21 Committee (technical committee of national experts on packaging) that the Commission should make more effort to make companies comply with the essential requirements (rules on the composition, reusable, recoverable and recyclable nature of packaging).
