摘要

The German food industry association, BLL, has criticised the country's new GM-free labelling scheme for products that do not contain genetically modified organisms as misleading. BLL says the voluntary scheme, introduced on 1 May, allows foods produced using GM processing aids or enzymes still to be labelled GM free. "We say this is misleading," a spokeswoman told EE & PL. Most German food companies are boycotting the scheme, she told us, but not all. Campina started using GM-free labels last week, the spokeswoman acknowledged.
