Germany: DSD urges proper implementation of packaging law to stop dual system crisis

Environment authorities must work harder to implement Germany's new packaging law, the daddy of the green dot schemes, Duales System Deutschland (DSD), has said. "This is an absolute requirement to end the threat to close-to-home separate collection," said DSD managing director Stefan Schreiter. Currently, although self compliance is supposedly banned, several companies still register just some of their packaging, with the rest ending up in DSD bins (see story above).
