Dutch MEPs want by-products decision tree in waste law

Two Dutch MEPs are pushing for the revised waste framework directive to include the European Commission's decision tree on whether a material is waste or a by-product in an annex, making it legally binding rather than a guideline. In an amendment to the report on the proposal from British Conservative Caroline Jackson, Hans Blokland (Independence and Democracy) and Lambert van Nistelrooij (European People's Party) would create a new annex I to the directive "Decision tree for waste versus by-product decisions."
