The European Parliament is looking set to reject the ecolabel for food after the MEP charged with writing the lead report on the proposal has followed colleagues drafting secondary opinions and come out against its inclusion.rnItalian MEP Salvatore Tatarella, who is from the small right leaning Union of the Europe of the Nations party, has tabled amendments to delete the proposal for the ecolabel to cover processed foods. Both Hungarian Socialist Edit Herczog and Greek conservative Nikolaos Vakalis have rejected ecolabelling for food in their respective secondary opinions for the Internal Market and Consumer Protection and Industry, Research and Energy Committees.
