Commission warns Slovenia to clean up landfills or face ECJ

The European Commission has threatened Slovenia with a referral to the EU Court of Justice if it does not bring its landfills into line with EU legislation. The Commission sent Slovenia a reasoned opinion on 24 October, giving it two months to respond to this final warning or face a possible referral to the Court.
