Commission warns against infringement of landfill directive

As the deadline for closing all illegal landfills across the EU looms, the Commission has warned that many member states will probably miss the 16 July cut-off date.rnA number of those member states already have infringement cases pending against them for failing to implement the directive into national law correctly by the deadline of July 2001.
