Austria: ARA calls to change waste management act

Austria's green dot scheme Altstoff Recycling Austria (ARA) is losing a lot of license fees from competition in the commercial sector, Communications Director Christian Mayer told EE&PL last week. Mayer urged the Austrian Government to change its waste act to address this problem. "We are losing money in the household sector as our competitors offer commercial companies the possibility to license all their material with them, but they do not separately collect the household waste so they use our collection bins.
