Environment MEPs welcome water 'blueprint', but call for more mainstreaming

An own initiative report by Austrian centre-right MEP Richard Seeber on the implementation of EU water legislation has received broad backing by MEPs on the European Parliament's Environment, Public Health and Food Safety committee (ENVI). MEPs did suggest ways in which the ten-page report could be improved - by notably focusing more on the link between water and the REACH legislation, on the impact of climate change on water and precipitation and on how to "blue" the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
