Court Refuses Rehearing in Polar Bear Listing Case

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit rejected requests for a panel rehearing and rehearing en banc on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service decision to list the polar bear as threatened under the Endangered Species Act (In re Polar Bear Endangered Species Act Listing, D.C. Cir., No. 11-5219, 4/29/13). The court rejected without comment the requests from a number of hunting groups in consolidated cases.
