摘要

Two cleanup plans costing a total of $25 million for Superfund sites in New York and New Jersey were finalized by the Environmental Protection Agency on Oct. 4. The agency plans to treat, move and capture volatile organic compounds that are contaminating both groundwater and soil at the Vestal Water Supply Well 1-1 site in Broomer County, N.Y., according to the plan. It also will excavate and remove polychlorinated biphe-nyls (PCBs) from soil and at the site as part of the $14 million cleanup.
