This letter health consultation summarizes the New York State Department of Health (DOH) and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) evaluation of environmental data collected in the residential neighborhood east of Water Street and next to Eighteen Mile Creek. This area is called Operable Unit 6 by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The purpose of this letter health consultation is to present the DOH and ATSDR conclusions about the public health implications of the environmental data and provide our recommendations for future actions.
