Figures calculated by financial adviser Grant Thornton show that new company car tax rules coming into force this month mean UK businesses could save thousands of pounds.rnThe new rules beef up incentives for businesses to use environmentally friendly cars and could also prevent hundreds of tonnes of CO_2 being released into the atmosphere.rnNew data shows that a green fleet of 50 cars would produce 36 tonnes of CO_2 a year less than fleets currently dominating our roads. It also shows that while the initial startup cost of a green fleet would be higher than a fleet of the more popular models, this cost can be recovered within just 18 months.
