摘要

Industry groups are calling on EPA to avoid requiring human health risk assessments for chemicals that have modes of action that are not harmful to humans, arguing in comments on a recently released draft guidance that such assessments are unnecessary."[The American Chemistry Council (ACC)] believes that lack of relevance to human health of a chemical mode of action is an important issue that needs to be clearly and specifically discussed [in the final guidance]," the group's Rick Becker wrote in Aug. 9 comments. "No human health quantitative risk assessment should be done for a mode of action that is not relevant to human[s]." The comments are available on InsideEPA.com. Seepage 2 for details. (Doc.
