EPA is seeking to limit the impact of a forthcoming risk assessment for halogenated platinum (Pt) salts, telling a key House lawmaker that its study is intended to focus on the risks posed by Pt in diesel fuel, not the vehicle pollution-control technologies it is also used to produce.
