House defense authorizers are pressing the Energy Department (DOE) to seriously consider calls by its Inspector General (IG) to reprioritize its environmental nuclear waste cleanup efforts on a national, complex-wide risk basis, though the lawmakers say that adopting the approach wholesale may not be possible.
