Strong support from Tunisian government

The conference was held in tunis, partly because Tunisia is at the forefront among developing countries of supporting women in science and engineering, and partly because the current WFEO president is from that country. Kamel Ayadi is a member of the Tunisian Chamber of Senate. He holds a civil engineering degree from the Tunisian High Institute of Engineers and a postgraduate degree in law from the Tunisian University of Law.
