The Allen-Bradley SmartGuard 600 available from NHP is designed for SIL 3 applications which require a degree of complex logic. The base unit includes the CPU, 16 safety inputs, eight safety outputs and an embedded DeviceNet communication port.rnUsing this DeviceNet port, the device can control up to 31 distributed I/O nodes, in addition to communicating to standard PLCs and HMIs over a DeviceNet network.
