Award for Boddington expansion

The Boddington Gold Mine expansion project team has won the Resource Development category award in Engineers Australia's WA Division Engineering Excellence Awards. The awards recognise the achievements of engineers across a broad spectrum of fields. The joint venture between Aker Solutions, Clough and Murray & Roberts (AKCMR), together with mine owner Newmont, was responsible for the implementation of innovative high pressure grinding (HPGR) technology, which makes it possible for the ore processing plant to handle up to 35Mt/a of the abrasive, low-grade ore found at thernBoddington site.
