eChartered and professional development

Becoming chartered is the ultimate goal of all participants on Engineers Australia's Professional Development Program (PDP). The new eChartered online process will add greatly to the experience of the participants as well as the PDP Partner coordinators as they support their participants. The new system of becoming chartered will enable the administration and reporting aspects of the PDP to be streamlined and enhanced, leading to greater efficiency and clarity. Some of our current processes are rather clunky and inefficient, affecting our ability to provide great service to our partners. From a PDP perspective, eChartered will impact on most of the current processes. The writing of competency reports, verification and submission will now occur online rather than the current half online, half paper based system. The enrolment and management of participants will also now occur online, giving coordinators a clear view on who their participants are and where they are up to on their journey toward becoming chartered.
