In reply to the August EA magazine cover story, let's consider the key crisis driver - the resources availability. The Energy in Australia 2011 report estimated the following remaining Australian production reserves: oil - 10 years; conventional gas -68 years, CSG - 100 years; black coal - 111 years; uranium - 141 years; brown coal - 539 years.
