DRIVING INFRASTRUCTURE AUSTRALIA'S FRESH MANDATE

In September 2014, with bi-partisan support, the Infrastructure Australia Act was amended to give IA new powers, and to create a new independent board with the right to appoint its own chief executive officer. Early this year, the board appointed Philip Davies, a qualified engineer and infrastructure expert, as IA's inaugural CEO. Davies has been given the task of driving IA's fresh mandate, which started with the release of the Northern Australia Audit and the finalisation of the Australian Infrastructure Audit.
