SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a contract by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. to provide project management and maintenance services, as well as engineering, installation and commissioning for the distribution management systems for its electricity distribution network. Installed and operated from regional distribution centers in the Greater San Francisco Bay area and in northern and central California, the new systems will control electricity distribution for northern and central California using SNC-Lavalin's GENe systems.
