Web-Based Capital Planning Delivers Enterprise-Wide Visibility

The Los Angeles Dept. of Water & Power (LADWP), one of the largest U.S. municipal utilities, relies upon a complex water system network and corresponding portfolio of capital projects to maintain and expand the system to support the area's growing population. The utility's Water Engineering and Technical Services (WETS) Division uses their Capital Improvement Program Management System (CIPMS) to oversee and manage a 10-year capital program consisting of over 200 water system projects with a budget of 6.5 billion.
