Underneath a Modern School

In 2008, the Dallas Independent School District (ISD) called for a "replacement school" for W.H. Adamson High School in a bond program, passed by Dallas voters. The school, originally built in 1917, required updating for technology and to correct deficiencies due to maintenance challenges over the years. The new $4O-million facility will be built adjacent to the current school, one of the oldest school buildings in Dallas and recently designated a historic landmark and added to the National Register of Historic Places.
