Chinese contractors have come a long way from just being labor suppliers. They are growing in sophistication and are becoming a presence in the international market. Chinese construction companies as a group completed work worth $116.6 billion in the overseas markets in 2012, an increase of 12.7% from 2011, according to a report by the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA), a Beijing-based industry alliance of Chinese companies that has foreign construction projects abroad.
