Big River Steel plans to build a steel mill in Osceola. The project entails the construction of an 80,000- to 113,000-sq-ft plant on a 1,140-acre site, bordered by the Mississippi River to the east and a rail line on the west side of the property. The mill will produce flat-roll steel and low-alloy, high-strength steel. The project is valued at $500 million.
