US Buildings Market Is Robust in City Centers

The office, mixed-use and high-rise residential markets in the U.S. remain strong, but markets are hotter in some regions than others. One of the busiest hot spots is New York City. "Thanks to the new towers rising and planned at the World Trade Center and Hudson Yards, as well as a combination of employment growth in office-using industries and a strengthening economy, the outlook for New York City office construction is positive for 2015 and should remain strong for the foreseeable future," says Richard Anderson, president of the New York Building Congress.
