The recent release of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) proposed draft rules for the commercial use of UAVs was met with considerable optimism for the use of these aerial solutions to support construction-and sparked a number of new products on the market. New systems moving into the market include the multi-rotor Aibot X6 from Leica Geosystems to the Trimble UX5 flying wing-like system to the soon-to-be-released fully autonomous eXom from senseFly, all developed for mapping and surveying.
