When the ENR Top 25 Newsmakers took the stage to accept their awards at a luncheon on March 21 in New York City, they evoked cheers, poignant memories and lots of applause. Megan Kreiger, from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, got a cheer for her confidence that, in the future, one of her deployable 3D printers could cast a bridge that could "support a tank." Architect Paul Murdoch evoked the voices of tragic Flight 93 victims, memorialized by a 93-ft-tall wind chime in Pennsylvania. From super-sustainability to overcoming high-risk jobs to preventing fires on jobsites, the accomplishments won round after round of applause.
