As the plant-based meat alternative market continues to grow globally over the coming years, we expect companiesto develop proteins using products other than soy and pea. In particular, pulses such as chickpeas and other forms ofbeans will be increasingly turned to. The use of these products will not match soy and pea protein by 2025, due to the relativelack of development in using chickpeas and other bean protein to replicate the characteristics of meat, as well as few processing facilities to manufacture these proteins forms on a large scale.
