Sensors make Sense

A glance at the sensor combo kit (available from Elektor) reveals seven superficially identical PCBs equipped with differing sensors. All of them have one analog output AO and one digital output DO. As you know, to create a digital signal from an analog one, we use a comparator. There is one of these included on each of these boards, or more precisely an LM393 dual differential comparator.
