The MAX11166 and MAX11167 bipolar ±5-V 16-bit A/D converters are claimed to be the smallest and the only 12-pin parts of their kind to integrate an internal reference with buffer - all in a 9-mm2 package and saving at least 88% board space over competing solutions. These ICs feature Beyond-the-Rails technology, which supports ±5-V input signal from a single positive 5-V rail.
