Quanta Prevails in Robot Arm Patent Case

A federal court in Houston entered an order finding that a product line sold by Canadian-based Liveline Solutions, Inc., infringes on a U.S. patent belonging to Quanta Services, Houston, for its LineMaster robotic arm. Liveline Solutions previously marketed and sold the infringing products — branded as Power Arms — to customers in the United States and internationally. "Quanta is an innovator and leader in the delivery of energized services," said Jim O'Neil, Quanta president and CEO, in a press release. "Our LineMaster robotic arm is an important part of maintaining and advancing Quanta's technology leadership position in the industry and providing safe, cost-effective solutions to our customers."
