Alstom T&D India delivers Power Grid's 230 kV transmission project in Myanmar

Alstom T&D India has concluded the delivery of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd's (PGCIL) 230 kV transmission project, worth around INR 1050 million (€15 million), in Myanmar. The contract covered the supply of a turnkey substation for the 230 kV transmission project which links the 3×40 MW Thahtay Chaung Hydro Power Project to the electrical grid. Already a market leader in transmission in India, this project marked Alstom's first steps into neighbouring countries and was delivered in a record three months in advance of the twelve months in the contract.
