Close control air conditioning (CCAC) is designed to provide environmental control for the very products supporting the services we all depend on each day. Over recent years the implementation of complex Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) has offered large users the opportunity to integrate their close control AC equipment with all other critical and non-critical building services and support equipment. These systems have enabled users to increase energy efficiency and reliability of equipment, enabling flexibility of operation and providing an enhanced user interface. However, for many medium and small users of identical IT and process equipment the cost and feasibility of using BEMS for monitoring and controlling their critical building services and support equipment would not be viable.
