How many of you have children or friends who have children who are studying an engineering-related curriculum and show zeal to be the future technology-designer all stars? I'm betting the percentage is small even for this esteemed group and certainly smaller than it would have been if we had asked ourselves this question 25 years ago, let alone 10.
