About 2% of the global population has been vaccinated by the end of January and this number is expected to grow in the coming months. Although many parts of the world are still under lockdown, the economy is picking up which is supporting recovery in oil demand. Improved industrial activity worldwide is bringing back lost mobility, raising the demand for transportation fuels – especially for gasoline and gasoil. Recovery in demand for refined products will increase refinery utilisation, in turn, boosting product tanker demand.
