A bathymetric survey has been carried out in the Taiwan Strait in preparation for the construction of an offshore wind farm.The month-long project was completed in October 2018, in a site where German wind farm developer wpd offshore will start constructing a wind farm in 2020.The bathymetric survey was conducted by CWind Taiwan, a joint venture between UK wind farm service provider CWind and Taiwanese survey and crew transfer vessel service provider International Ocean Vessel Technical Consultant (IOVTEC).President Tsai Ing-wen's government is pushing a green energy policy that has precipitated the building of offshore wind farms across Taiwan.
