More than 60 scissors, clamps, and other instruments designed for robotics-assisted surgery are on display at Intuitive Surgical's headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. Doctors using a surgical robot never touch a patient directly; instead, they sit beside the patient at a console, watching a three-dimensional view of the procedure, and remotely control the system's four interactive arms to make precise, minimally invasive incisions.
