The flow of bankable concessions in the Brazilian water sector continued unabated this month, as the state of Amapa awarded a 35-year contract, raising BRL930 million ($180 million) in the process. The deal featured several structural innovations, although it remains to be seen what synergies the winner - power concessionaire Equatorial - can squeeze out of the deal (it recently won the power distribution concession in Amapa).
